monthly seminars
Writing is almost always a solitary experience. And for a medium that is naturally collaborative in almost every other aspect, screenwriting can be a particularly lonely slog. Having a small group of peers that you respect and trust can make a world of difference in your process. Not only for how they can sharpen the work, but maybe even more importantly, for how they can keep you writing toward that next goal.
Of course, finding that trustworthy group of writing peers can be a bit daunting. So, I've organized a series of monthly seminars to help connect you with a community of writers who are all after the same goal - to get better at their craft.
Of course, finding that trustworthy group of writing peers can be a bit daunting. So, I've organized a series of monthly seminars to help connect you with a community of writers who are all after the same goal - to get better at their craft.
The seminars are built around small groups of no more than 5 writers who are all at or around the same level of experience. We clarify writing goals and set targets for each series of seminars, then meet once a month for 5 months to share each other's work in guided feedback sessions. Each member of the group receives substantive comments from their peers, as well as detailed feedback from me.
And yes. There may be adult beverages involved. Spring Seminars run from January to May, and Fall Seminars from August to December. Each series is $300 for the 5 monthly sessions and the detailed feedback from me. These are designed to be live and in-person, so if you are local to Baltimore, send me an email about an upcoming series. If you are not local, drop me a line and we can explore a virtual version of the monthly seminars. |
If you've already got a handle on the basics and want to really hone your craft in a safe and encouraging environment, attending a series of monthly seminars might be perfect for you. If you are looking for more one-on-one feedback on a specific project, hit the link for SCRIPT ANALYSIS below.
